Is the dell xps m1300 a good laptop for gaming?

I have read many reviews, but I can not get a straigth answer. I am not asking if the dell xps m1300 is the perfect gaming laptop I’m just asking if it is able to play and support games like Hitman blood money, Crysis, and command and conquer.

I just bought this pc from a preleased company, Its 2 years and 9 months old.It had a 3 year warranty on it.Do you think it is a decent laptop I couldnt afford a brandnew computer right now.

Well, your processing speed is probably going to be kind of slow. Since it has a 512 MB RAM, you might want to upgrade it to at least a 1024MB chip (1 Gig). If you look into the amount of memory that your computer can hold, you should get the most. Memory is cheap and not too hard to install. Try going to Crucial.com. That is where I get my memory for my computer and stuff. The hard drive is 40 GB, so if you buy an external hard drive that will help too.

Dell Inspiron Laptop Wont Charge Battery to Full?

My Inspiron 1501 recently ad to have its motherboard replaced and since then the battery has only charged to 40% but continues to say “plugged in and charging”. But dosen’t go pased 40%.The power cord is brand new Dell factory part that I just bought. The cord works fine charging my sisters Dell laptop to 100% just fine. Any suggestions?

Sounds to me like the battery is shot im afraid. Lithium battery’s do wear down over time causing them to eventually fail.

How do I use the touchscreen on the Dell Latitude 2110 Laptop?

Okay, so my school just handed out laptops and I was really excited! I was researching mine and apparently it has a touchscreen…I really want to use it but I am not sure how to set it up. They never gave us the manuals either. So if there is any help you could give me, I would be really grateful!!!

hi there i actually want to buy a convertible laptop which is a laptop and tablet in one
my main purpose of buying one would be for school work and for web browsing also a bit of gaming and multitasking.

The best I’ve found was the HP tm2 series. Comes with an i3 processor (I bought one 2 weeks ago, and the configuration allowed you to upgrade to the i5, but that was the tm2t model, which they no longer offer – the new one doesn’t appear to be customizable, which is a little bit of a let down.)

It will cost you slightly more than you’re looking to spend, but the Dell Duo is a POS, and the Iconia in your price range is not convertible, it is a straight tablet with an optional keyboard dock.

Can I Replace My dell laptop battery With Another Brand?

I have an Inspiron E1505. The battery (85 WHr 9-Cell) died about 6 months ago. The battery lasted about a year and a half. Replacement batteries are $ 155 each from Dell so I haven’t had the money to replace it yet. I found a site called Laptop Battery Depot that is selling the same battery for much less — $ 87. Still a lot but it won’t kill me nearly as much. My Dell battery says, “Replace only with Dell battery module type UD265. To be used only in Dell Notebook Computers.”

If I replace the battery with the off-brand version, will my laptop explode or something? Or is that warning just a way to make sure people buy the product from Dell?

Plus, the Laptop Depot website has a 2-yr warranty on all their batteries so it seems like a way better deal (as long as it doesn’t cause my laptop to explode). Dell has NO warranty on their batteries — or their AC adapters. Probably because they’d never make any money and either would have to make a product that works or replace everybody’s batteries and adapters every year! I have to buy a new adapter from Dell for another $ 70 — this will be my third time since buying the laptop 2 years ago! It’s coming apart at the end that plugs into the computer. And no, I do not pull it out of the wall, smash it, whatever – most of the time, my laptop sits on the desk all by itself. And since there are dozens of reviews on Dell’s website complaining about the exact same issue, you’d think Dell would admit there’s a problem with the design and fix it.
My warranty was up in June anyway, so I’m not too worried about that! Thanks!

yes. there are 3rd party bettery makers out there who specialize in making cheaper batteries. the thing is if you are still under warranty and you use a 3rd party battery that will void you warrenty. so if you use it and something bad happens just make sure not to tell them you were using a 3rd party battery.

Macbook, hands down. I used to have a Dell and bought a Mac a few years ago…wish I would’ve sooner. I find it to be much more user friendly and better quality hardware.
